Support for students affected by Covid-19 

The University Community Assistance Service (SACU), through its UPF Inclusión programme, is responsible for attending to students with special educational needs, who, due to a disability or illness, request support to overcome difficulties in pursuing their studies.

The Instructions for the notifying cases of infection or preventive isolation due to possible infection among members of the University community at Pompeu Fabra University, issued on 16 March, state that, any student who is in preventive isolation or has been infected, will be considered a special needs student due to the sudden onset of their illness.

Due to the exceptional situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, a support protocol has been established for students who are affected, especially in those cases where the process of the illness or health status at the time prevents the student from duly following the academic subjects.

Students, or their family members in the case of hospital admission, can send the student details (name and study) by email to [email protected]. As established in cases of serious illness, the UPF Inclusió programme will follow each case individually until recovery and full return to university and academic activities.
