The SKINDEV project is proud to share that we participated in the remarkable event hosted by the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) on the first weekend of October. Celebrating over 16 years of unwavering commitment to making science accessible, the OpenPRBB event took place last Saturday, 7th October, from 10:00 to 14:30h, inviting the public into the world of scientific research.

This year's OpenPRBB turned out to be a magnet for curiosity and passion for science, attracting more than 1,500 eager attendees. It was an honor for the SKINDEV team to witness the high turnout and the genuine interest of nearly 900 visitors who toured the emblematic building, exploring various laboratories and services, including ours. We were thrilled to engage with the attendees, discussing our ongoing projects and research within the SKINDEV project.

Furthermore, around 200 visitors dove deep into the realm of science through the ‘Ciència a la fresca‘ talks held in the newly allocated space, an initiative we commend for its innovative approach to disseminating knowledge. The event also catered to the younger generation, with around fifty children enriching their minds with science-focused activities in the Espai Menut.

Our participation in the OpenPRBB reflects SKINDEV's dedication to fostering scientific curiosity and public engagement with research. It was a fantastic opportunity to interact closely with the community, share our passion for science, and inspire future generations. We're already looking forward to next year's event and the chance to once again celebrate science with the public.
