Researcher Juan de la Cierva and professor of Communication (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). He studies the social and political implications of technologies based on the processing of massive data, with special interest in their effects on democracy, social justice and fundamental rights. He co-directs the academic journal Quaderns del CAC and is a member of the Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council of Barcelona City Council.
