Patrícia Ventura holds a PhD in Media, Communication and Culture from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and associate professor at the same university. His lines of research focus on the field of ethics applied to artificial intelligence and on the regulation of algorithms in favor of democratic societies. Ventura was the author of the report Algorithms in the newsrooms: Challenges and recommendations to equip artificial intelligence with the ethical values ​​of journalism, published in 2021 by the Catalan Information Council (CIC). His research has been presented at forums such as Columbia University, the AI ​​Democracy Lab at the University of Amsterdam, and at events such as On Topic on innovation in communication.
