Eddie Wong is a Malaysia and New Zealand based interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of AI, art and cinema. Since completing his Masters in Computational Arts from Goldsmiths University, he has continued to develop his unique approach to "machine fictioning" – using machine learning, and computational art to confront postcolonial history and its lingering effects on his cultural heritage and ancestral memories.

Wong has exhibited internationally; and published in leading arts journals; his most recent achievement was winning the 2022 Lumen Prize for Moving Image. He now runs an artist-led workshop where he teaches AI art and computational filmmaking.
