On June 20-24, Dr. Christopher Tulloch, professor and researcher at the Department of Communication, member of the POLCOM research group, participated in the Annual Conference of the International Association for Mass Communication Research (IAMCR) that was held in the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Oregon in the United States of America.

The IAMCR is the leading association of mass communication and annually gathers researchers from all over the world, the 2018 program was developed under the central theme: Reimagining Sustainability: Communication and Media Research in a Changing World.

In the framework of this edition, Dr. Tulloch presented a paper entitled "The Transition. Convergence and discrepancy in the international and national press coverage of Spain's major postwar news export" within the History Section program, it presented a summary of the three projects financed by MINECO (2010-2012, 2013-2015, 2016-2018), research projects carried out in the Communication Department of the Pompeu Fabra University. 

In his presentation, Dr. Christopher Tulloch spoke about the role of the international press and foreign correspondent corps stationed in Spain, the national newspapers' standpoint on political developments at the time and the explosion of the magazine market that accompanied the consolidation of parliamentary democracy.
