From June 21 to 23, the 5th International Meeting on Political Communication took place in Bilbao, organized by the Political Communication Association (ACOP). A reference event that takes place every two years and that welcomes many experts from the academic world and from political advice. In this edition, topics such as online fanaticization, fake news,
post-truth and the evolution of electoral campaigns were discussed.

Santiago Castelo Heymann, PhD student at Pompeu Fabra University and Ideograma, linked to the POLCOM research group, participated in the fifth forum for the exchange of knowledge, opinions and experiences on the research and practice of political communication. On Friday, June 22, at the Euskalduna Palace, he presented his project entitled: "Instagram: Privacy Policy: The Case of Mauricio Macri in the 2015 Presidential Campaign".

This communication analyzes the campaign of the current Argentine president and reflects on the role that Instagram can play in the phenomenon of political personalization and in the processes of humanization and celebrity of the candidates.
