Tenured University Lecturer

From the first year of the UPF Humanities Faculty, 1992-1993, I have been a professor of French Literature and Language. I have also taught other literature courses, always linked to Humanities. In fact, my dual studies in French Philology (UB) and in Philosophy (University of Paris X-Nanterre) is very close to Humanities. Born and raised in France, with a dual citizenship, and three mother tongues, the identity subjects linked to the dynamics of otherness have driven the majority of my research projects. From the myth criticism methodologies, my doctoral thesis studied the imaginary mediterranean in Albert Camus' work. As a Camusian: I've published articles and organized several parts of the reading committee of Albert Camus' Présence magazine. Recently, my Camusian studies deal mainly with Camus' bonds with Spain, especially with libertarian thinking. Concurrently, I am a member of SELGYC and REELC (international associative network of Compared Literature), and I am part of the research groups GRITIM (UPF) and GRIPES (UAB), which classify my studies about literary representation and the imaginary about cultural diversity, multiple identities, and human values, usually associated to exile, working specially the work of "francophone" writers and that of those who defend a French "littérature-monde".
