Tamara Djermanovic is an Aesthetic and Slavic Literatures lecturer at Humanities department in UPF. She is also the principal researcher in Consolidated research group Slavic Studies Seminar (SGR 1350, until 2019).

She graduated in Comparative Literature from the University of Belgrade in 1990 and she is a doctor in Humanities with the following thesis: 'La relación entre Rusia y Occidente en Dostoyevski; Apuntes del subuselo, Los demonios y Los hermanos Karamazov' (UPF, 2004). Her thesis was published both in Spanish and Russian ('Dostoyevski entre Rusia y Occidente', Herder, 2006; 'Достоевский между Россией и Западом, Центр книги Рудомино, 2013.)

She conducts the research area at Sociedad Española de Estética y Teoría de las artes (SEyTA) and she is a member of the following research projects: «Кросс-культурная история литературы»; La historia literaria desde el comparativismo cultural (The National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow) i ‘Análisis y visualización del discurso político ruso’ (Laboratorio Medialab, Universidad de Granada). Previously she participated in four competitive research projects from MICINN and in the research group from Bibliotheca Mystica et Philosophica Alois M. Haas.

She has published five books as an author, 15 articles in indexed scholarly journals, 14 book chapters and more than 50 articles in other publications.

She has conducted three doctoral theses. She has taught lectures, seminars and conferences at UPF, at several universities in Spain and also in Oxford, London, Paris, Buenos Aires, Moscow and Belgrade.

She coordinates the Diàlegs Humanístics UPF.
