I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Translation and Language Sciences in UPF. In 2017, I received my PhD from the Université de Namur (Belgium). My thesis presents a contrastive study of three discourse markers – list buoys, PALM-UP and the sign SAME – in Catalan Sign Language (LSC) and French Belgian Sign Language (LSFB). Afterwards, I lectured on Linguistics and Deaf Culture at the Université Saint-Louis-Bruxelles and Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). Before being affiliated to UPF, I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholms universitet (Sweden) and Université de Namur.

My research focuses on visual and tactile signed languages, discourse analysis, multimodality and interpreting. I am interested in different aspects of interaction in both visual and tactile signed languages. At present, I am working on reformulation in interpreted discourse. I want to describe the manual, nonmanual and corporal resources used by Catalan/Spanish-LSC interpreters when they reformulate in both modalities.
