JOVIS participation in the methodological workshop on postqualitative approaches

JOVIS coordinator Macarena García González participated as a guest researcher in the workshop “Sociomaterialism and Analysis: Postqualitative Approaches to Research,” held within the framework of the Fondecyt Initiation Project No. 11230137, “Political Literacies and Youth’s Uses of Social Media in Contemporary Chile,” directed by academic Valentina Errázuriz.
The workshop took place on Tuesday, January 21, at the Faculty of Education of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with pre- and postdoctoral researchers from this and other Chilean universities. Macarena García contributed with a talk on sociomaterial and posthumanist approaches to research in the humanities and social sciences, followed by a data analysis session led by Valentina Errázuriz. Two other JOVIS researchers, Lucía Pérez Matías and Víctor Villegas Campillo, also participated, bringing data from their own research projects for analysis.
