I am an archaeologist with a special interest in plants, agriculture and livelihoods in the past. As part of the AGRI-DRY doctoral network, I am currently studying the resilience of ancient and traditional dryland agricultural practices to environmental changes in Africa and the Mediterranean using an interdisciplinary approach based on ethnographic, archaeological and palaeoecological data. The project is focused on comparative analyses of past time series and computational modelling of farming systems in variable arid environments.
