Va de Valls is looking for someone who knows how to make mobile apps!

23.05.2019

“Va de Valls” is a mobile application project which came from the Final Year Project of a Humanities student. The app aims to be a literary map of the various writings that reference a specific, physical place of a population. In this case it refers to the capital of Alt Camp, although the methodology could be extrapolated to other cities.

In this way, through the geo-referencing of all the places that have a direct relationship with literature, the user can follow a route to get to know all of these points and observe how they are presented and described through the writer’s perspective. The vast majority of the physical places have changed, therefore it is also possible to observe how the passage of time transforms buildings, places, streets and landscapes.

The documentary work is already done: twenty texts from Valls have been compiled, written by eight authors who have a direct link with the description of a place in the population. On the other hand, there is a model of the application that cannot be considered official because graphically and, above all, on a usability level, it is very improved. Therefore, in order to complete the application and make sure that it is completely functional, it would be necessary to have someone who knows how to make mobile applications to bring technological vision to the project.
