27.02.2017
Last Thursday 23rd of February, the fourth edition of Hash Code, a programming contest organized by Google, was held. From the UPF, three teams were competing: two teams of students of the Degree in Computer Engineering, and a team of PhD students from the Department of Technology. The problem was to optimize the distribution of videos in a Youtube network, so that access to videos from anywhere on the network was as fast as possible. Two of the UPF teams were among the best 500 teams, of a total of more than 2800.
In 2016, AI research team was invited to the finals, the only team in Spain to go the finals. You can read the UPF article here.
