Yuan Li graduated from Sichuan University (China) with a Spanish Language and Literature degree. She did an exchange for one academic year at the Department of Hispanic Philology of the University of Barcelona, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). She completed a Master's degree in Spanish Language Research at the Complutense University of Madrid. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Translation and Language Sciences program at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya (FI-AGAUR grant). Her thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Cassany, focuses on informal language learning in the linguistic practices of song fans.
