Meztli is a third-year Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Cassany. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at North Eastern Illinois University in Chicago and her Masters in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at UPF. She has presented in 6 international conferences and will publish later in 2020 a book chapter and 2 articles. Also, she conducted a six-month research stay at UNAM [ La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico]. She is interested in sociolinguistics, graphic medicine, visual language, semiotics, and narratology. Meztli currently in Oaxaca writing her thesis.
