Evgeniia Iurinok holds two Master’s degrees from Tyumen State University (Tyumen, Russian Federation) in Theory of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures (2014) and from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain) in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (2020).  Her current PhD thesis lies in the field of applied linguistics and primarily represents a qualitative study of the role of translanguaging in a Russian language classroom. Her scientific interests are translanguaging, language teaching and learning, language philosophy, sociolinguistics, etc. Since 2014 she has worked as an English language teacher. In 2022 she completed a distance professional retraining course "Methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language". Her teaching interests concern teaching English as a second or foreign language, English for specific purposes and Russian as a foreign language.
