Laura Acosta studied Translation and Interpreting at the Universitat Pompeu, where she graduated in 2008. In 2013, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Training of Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Barcelona and the University Pompeu Fabra.

From 2011 to 2015 she worked as a Spanish as foreign language teacher in several private schools in Barcelona. Currently she is studying a PhD, with a research about interactional competence in Spanish as a foreign language, supervised by Dr. Carmen López Ferrero and Dr. Maria Dolors Cañada. Her research interests are interactional competence, oral interaction, foreign language teaching and learning.
