The UPF Center for Vattimo’s Philosophy and Archives organizes Lectures, Conferences, and a Permanent Seminar that meets several times a year to discuss the origins, meaning, and consequences of the Italian philosopher's ideas. Invited scholars from around the world and members of the center engage with different aspects of Vattimo’s philosophy to foster fruitful discussion. Although the goal is to focus on Vattimo’s Weak Thought, the seminars do not exclude engagement with other philosophies, thinkers, and themes. Over the years, several seminars have been dedicated to Vattimo's aesthetics, interpretation of religion, confrontation with Jacques Rancière, and, in the last year, to Alice Rohrwacher's weak cinema and Ignasi de Solà-Morales's weak architecture. At least one seminar per year focuses on unpublished material from the archives. The Center team organizes the seminar, and it is open to anyone interested in the Italian thinker and continental philosophy.

If you wish to be notified of the next seminars, please let us know at: [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].
