1. When can I enrol on subjects from other study programmes?

The University will publish the dates of the different periods that have been established at the beginning of the academic year. You can see this by entering the Calendar section or entering the Secretaria Acadèmica, in the Matrícula section => Automodificació de matrícula.

2. How can I enrol on these subjects?

Enter secretariavirtual.upf.edu, go to the Automatrícula section and select the Automodificació option.

3. Can I enrol on subjects from any study programme?

Yes, as long as they are being offered and there are no incompatibilities with subjects that you are already enrolled on according to your academic record. 

4. Where can I see the subjects that are being offered?

You can do this by entering the Subjects currently being offered section of this website. 

5. How can I know if one subject is incompatible with another?

You can see the subject incompatibilities in the corresponding section of this website. 

6. How many credits can I enrol for?

You can enrol for the maximum optional mobility credits allowed for your study programme. 

7. What is the grading and assessment system for free-elective cross-disciplinary training?

The corresponding points outlined in the Academic Regulations for Bachelor's Degree Courses are applicable (Agreed upon by the Board of Governors on 9 July 2008, modified as agreed upon by the Governing Council on 13 July 2011, 9 May and 7 November 2012 and 17 February 2016). 

8. Can I request recognition of subjects that I have enrolled on as free-elective cross-disciplinary training?

You cannot request recognition for subjects enrolled on as free-elective cross-disciplinary training in any case. 

9. Can I get recognition for a basic education, compulsory or optional subject from my study programme if I have already taken it as free-elective cross-disciplinary training on another course?

You can request recognition, and this will be dealt in accordance with applicable regulations. 

10. What is the price of credit for subjects taken as free-elective cross-disciplinary training?

The price to be paid for all subjects taken as free-elective cross-disciplinary training is the same as that which is established by the Decree on Prices for your studies. For example, if you are a Biology degree student and are enrolled on a Humanities subject, you'll have to pay the price that corresponds to a Biology degree credit. 

11. Do these credits count when it comes to grants?

Yes.

12. Can I cancel subjects I am enrolled on as free-elective cross-disciplinary training?

You can only cancel subjects you have enrolled on as free-elective cross-disciplinary training for reasons attributable to the University.
