Roa Roa, Jorge Ernesto

Doctor of Law (summa cum laude) from UPF. Lawyer graduated with honors from Universidad Externado de Colombia (2010). Master's in Governance and Human Rights from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2011) and in Advanced Legal Sciences from UPF (2012). Visiting researcher at the University of Trento (2014) and at the Max Planck Institute for International Law and Comparative Public Law in Heidelberg (2015 to 2024). Visiting professor at various universities in Germany, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Guatemala, Ecuador, Spain, Italy, Mexico, and Poland. Served as auxiliary magistrate of the Constitutional Court of Colombia (2020-2024). Member of the group of experts in constitutional justice of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Recipient of the Constitución de Cádiz Award (2012) and honorable mention of the Nicolás Pérez Serrano Award from the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies of Spain (2018).
