The Permanent Piano and Chamber Music course wants to make the practice of this music easier to include theoretical, practical, technical and artistic aspects in the global music student training.
The practice of Chamber Music constitute an important goal in the hearing sense development in order to get a better perception of both different sounds levels and the function of each instrument in terms of a whole (one aesthetic result).
The requirement for constantly unifying or searching the sound uniformity in the intensity, vibrato, dynamics, attacks, breathings, etc. between very different instruments facilitates the development of the spirit of dialogue and communication.
In this regard, the mutual understanding that the Chamber Music brings encourages the exchange of ideas and creates a deeper ability in analysis. This would be unlikely to be reached if working alone.
The knowledge and practise of a varied repertoire and from different times and styles help the student to increase their historic, technical and artistic music's point of view.
Achieving the perception of the work as a whole will reach, at the end, the author's creation, understood globally and unitarily.
Conductors of Chamber Music course are the UPF Chamber Orchestra's conductor Diego Miguel-Urzanqui and the pianist Pilar Guarné.
