A dramatic comedy about the intricacies of the book world.

We will enter an important office, that of María Sandoval, a veteran and powerful literary agent with global reach. Today, a certain young and ambitious colleague has come to visit her: Victoria Borrell, with whom she had a decisive deal in both their lives some time ago, and who brings her a proposal. While they discuss and mutually uncover unexpected issues from the past, the famous Chilean writer Tomás Trenor, a well-known figure to both, is flying from Caracas to Madrid to meet with the Spanish Prime Minister. But his flight is delayed... And at the same time, the Baroness bursts onto the scene, the owner of the building where the agency is located, an elderly and unpredictable woman with unclear motivations.

La agente literaria raises relevant questions, about literature and the human condition: What degree of external intervention is necessary to achieve a great work? What is cultural and what is commercial about successful books? What price does a Nobel Prize have? How much personal life are we willing to sacrifice for professional success? And how much manipulation are we willing to undergo if we want to achieve a goal that seduces us?

This play is in Spanish.
