Jaris Mujica is Doctoral candidate, Master in Political Sciences, and Bachelor in Anthropology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru; Master and PhD student in Criminology, from Pompeu Fabra University. He has been Head of the Office of Internal Affairs of the prison system in Peru, Head of the Information Unit of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor, Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Ombudsman in Peru, and researcher on issues of crime and violence for various offices in United Nations. Author of several books and numerous scientific papers, received the Award of IASSCS, the National Environmental Award, the Award for Research of the Catholic University, the honorable mention of CLAD Award, among others. He has received research grants from several institutions (CLACSO, IDRC, IFEA, CONCYTEC, etc.). Currently, researches issues related to corruption, sexual offenses and criminal organization systems.
