Lorena Antón graduated in law in 2004, at the University of León, and in Criminology in 2006, at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, obtaining First Class Honours. Until 2009 she worked as a researcher and carried out several works on gender violence and criminal justice system. In September 2009 he obtained a PhD fellowship (FPU, Spanish Ministry of Education) to do her thesis on intimate partner violence and immigrant women. In 2011 she was visiting researcher at the Centre of Criminology at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Dr. Carolyn Hoyle. She has taught classes in the degree Criminology and Public Policy of Prevention Degree at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Master in Criminology and Criminal Justice System (UPF, UAB, UdG), as well as at the Institute for Public Safety of Catalonia. In 2013 she presents her Phd entitled Violencia de género y mujeres inmigrantes [Gender violence and inmigrated women] supervised by Elena Larrauri. She is currently co-directing a consulting firm specialised in crime prevention for private companies, and works as consulting teacher in the degree of Criminology at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
