CORE Talk with Dr. Mon Rodriguez-Amat, expert on media technologies. A conversation on Postdoc abroad

In this opportunity, Dr. Carlos Alberto Scolari interviews Dr. Joan Ramon Rodriguez-Amat about his journey after his doctoral thesis. 

Rodriguez-Amat, better known as Mon, holds a PhD from the Universitat Autòmona de Barcelona. He completed a postdoc at the University of Vienna (2011-2015) and has research and teaching experience (as a guest) in more than a dozen universities, including Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Catalonia, Argentina and Malaysia. Nowadays, he is Principal Lecturer at the Sheffield Hallam University.

Carlos Scolari holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Languages of Communication (Catholic University of Milan, Italy). He is a lecturer in the Department of Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He is specialised in interactive digital media, transmedia narratives and media ecology/evolution. He has been coordinator of the Latin American Digital Communication Network (ALFA Programme, 2004-06) and of the H2020 Transmedia Literacy Project (2015-18). 

CORE, an initiative of the Communication Department of Pompeu Fabra University, is a cycle of sessions (CORE Sessions) and interviews (CORE Talks) that facilitate knowledge transfer and the encounter between the disciplines associated with communication and the social sciences to strengthen local, national and international research.
