She was afraid to call it love, she called it swimming

Núria Gómez Gabriel

She was afraid to call it love, she called it swimming is an attempt to remember those images that we have never seen, to feel again those feelings that we don’t know yet. The film is made from pieces extracted from Anne Charlotte Robertson’s project Five Year Diary with an appropriation of her search of someone who has disappeared (Emily) in a place portrayed by her body: the garden. The voice accompanying the images is made of the pieces from different books that are rearranged to be portrayed as a poetic journey through other times and spaces.
