Clarobscur is a website that, since 2015, has been giving visibility to scientific production of the MA in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies. From its creation during the year 2008-09, the MA has represented a reflexion core upon history of cinema, television and overall audiovisual. Unfortunately, in most cases MA’s Final Project intellectual production and, especially, the subjects ones, haven’t had the visibility they deserve. Clarobscur Clarobscur comes up to show that work and allow it to be useful for new researches from both inside and outside UPF.
Clarobscur consists of two sections: a works archive and a section specialized in the audiovisual production of students. On the one hand, the archive is composed by a compilation of the works that have been done during the lasts years, both the MA’s Final Projects (since 2008-09) and the subjects ones (since 2013-14). These, available at the UPF Digital Repository, have been classified according to both academic or formal criteria (genre, current, nationality, filmmaker or screenwriter, actor). Thus a search can be made along MA’s main production and access to the files is granted.
On the other hand, in the Audiovisual section we wanted to give visibility to a fundamental part of the Master: the work with film editing as a vehicle of thought. Thus, in this section we offer a selection of video essays, short films and audiovisual experiments created by students in the framework of different subjects.
