I am Associate professor at the Department of Political and Social Science at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and member of the SocioDemographics Research Group (DemoSoc). I obtained my PhD in Demography at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2007, where I previously gained a B.A. in Political Science and Administration (2002). I was post-doc researcher at the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and visiting researcher at the French Institut National d’Etudes Démographiques (INED) and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institut (NIDI).

As an interdisciplinary and quantitative social scientist my research interests focus on current changes in partnership and family dynamics. In the past I have participated in several national and international research projects related to the analysis of the implications of family change in multiple domains: demographic trends, social inequality and gender relations. I am currently in charge, together with Pau Baizán of a research project devoted to the analysis of the socio-economic inequalities in family behavior and wellbeing (UNEQUAL) funded by MICINN (PID2020-117980GB-I00). I also participate in a RECERCAIXA research project dealing with gender discrimination in the labour market and using experimental tools (audit study and vignette study).
