PhD in Social Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University, professor of History of Cinema and Mise-en-scène Models at the Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UPF, professor of Cinemas of the Real at the Master in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies and he coordinates the International Master in Audiovisual and Cinema Studies (organized by the UPF in collaboration with other 14 international universities). He has taught at other university centers, such as the Blanquerna Faculty of Communication (URL) and ESCAC (Escola de Cinema i Audiovisual de Catalunya). His doctoral thesis (2013) and his later research work have focused on the study of the cinematographic representation of landscape, to which he has dedicated many texts published both in national and international academic journals and in different book chapters. He is currently participating in two research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness —one is about youth empowerment (HEBE) and the other one is about the visual motifs in the representation of power in media (MOVEP). He has participated in international research projects as a member of the CRECI research group -of the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris III- and collaborates regularly at the Sitges Film Festival as a member of the Documentation Team and monthly at the Diari in Tarragona.
