Holder of a Doctorate in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University, with the thesis Contraplà amb la mort. Imatge i història en el cinema portuguès contemporani (Extraordinary doctorate award from the Communication Department). Glòria Salvadó is author of the book Espectres del cinema portugués contemporani. Historia i fantasma en les imatges (Lleonard Muntaner, 2012), and co-publisher of Poéticas del gesto en el cine europeo contemporáneo (Intermedio, 2013).
She has published essays, in collective books and scholar magazines both national and international (Critical Studies in Television, L’Atalante, Communication & Society), about Portuguese contemporary cinema, European contemporary cinema, TV fiction, new forms of serial fiction and Joaquín Jordá, amongst other subjects. She has also collaborated in informative magazines such as Cultura/s, La maleta de portbou or Cahiers du Cinéma-España.
Glòria Salvadó is a professor at the UPF’s Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication, of filmic writing and narrative subjects, and in the Master's Degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies, where she teaches a subject that explores synergies between cinematographic and television models, from early TV to contemporaneity.
