Holder of a Doctorate in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University, where he teaches Editing and Filmmaking at the Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication, and Essay and visual Thinking at the Master's degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies. Academic director of the Postgraduate Course in Video Editing from the BSM-UPF. Since 2002, Gonzalo De Lucas is an avant-garde and documentary cinema programmer in Xcèntric (CCCB). He is the co-editor of the magazine Cinema Comparat/ive Cinema, he has written the books Vida secreta de las sombras, El blanco de los orígenes, Tocar las imágenes and he has published, with Núria Aidelman, Jean-Luc Godard. Pensar entre imágenes. Gonzalo De Lucas has also written papers in more than forty collective books, in journals like Cahiers du Cinéma-España, L’Atalante or Sight and Sound, and he is a collaborator in La Vanguardia’s supplement Cultura/s. In his educational and research program about creative process in the university area, he has been a mentor of feature films like Sobre la marxa/El inventor de la selva, Les amigues de l’Àgata and Júlia Ist.
