Born in Figueres (1954). Professor of Audiovisual Communication at UPF since 1994, visiting professor at Stanford University (California), in 2008 and director of the master’s degree in Creative Documentary at IDEC-UPF since 1997. Exhibition director of the CCCB between 1998 and 2011. He has curated exhibitions on cinema, among which are: "The century of cinema"; "Mundo TV"; "Erice / Kiarostami"; "Hammershoi and Dreyer"; " All the letters , filmic correspondences" (City of Barcelona Award 2011) and "Pasolini Roma". He is co-author with Xavier Pérez of the books La llavor immortal; Jo ja he estat aquí (Premio de la Crítica Serra d'Or); Els riscos del saber; and author of Imatges del silenci.
