Abstract

Lucid and incisive, the texts assembled in this volume reflect Joaquim Jordà's way of thinking. His method is based on exchange with others, on curiosity, on attentive listening, on difference and chance, and he turns everything into a stimulus to talk about life, friendship, illness, death, cinema, grassroots politics... in his own way.

Estímulos brings together his own writings, fragments of interviews and oral recordings from Jordà's interventions in his films or in those of other filmmakers who invite him to reflect in front of the cameras. A "Jordà thought" that speaks to us from his singularity and illuminates, even more if possible, his extraordinary cinematographic legacy.
