The Centre for Studies on Science, Communication and Society at Pompeu Fabra University (CCS-UPF) has renewed its accreditation as a Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I), awarded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).

UCC+I units are part of a national network promoted by FECYT aimed at strengthening the social communication of science, fostering scientific culture and bringing research closer to society.

This renewal acknowledges the CCS-UPF’s trajectory in areas such as science outreach, research communication, training in science communication, and the promotion of participation and dialogue projects between science and society.

The UCC+I Network brings together universities, research centres and other institutions committed to the social transfer of knowledge and the promotion of a critical and participatory scientific culture.
