What is Appasióname?

M: Appasióname is a project that seeks to bring young people into closer contact with the world of employment in a practical way and from a perspective of equality between the student and the professional. As its name suggests, Appasióname is about what most of us want: to find our passions, whether it’s in a personal or a professional sphere or as a hobby. We want the students to connect with their passions, and the professionals who meet them to help them to achieve that.

A student who hears about the project might wonder what difference there is between a curricular placement and the experience with Appasióname.

M: What we do is to put students in touch with professionals for one working day or a morning. It’s like a little taste. The students get to know the professionals and their experience, what they’ve done to get where they are today, and so on. With this information – short but intense – the students can get an initial idea of whether it’s what they want to do or whether they want to choose a different field. This experience can help to guide them when it comes to choosing which curricular placement they’re interested in taking.
