Dr. Catia Faria, board member of the UPF-Centre for Animal Ethics, was co-editing with Yip Fai Tse a Special Issue for the The Journal of Ethics entitled:
“AI, Animals, and the Future: Aligning AI Trajectories with Nonhuman Welfare.”

This Special Issue was highly anticipated due to the moral urgency of the topic, combined with the quality of the journal. Scholars interested in these issues were warmly encouraged to submit an abstract by 22 December 2025. Once accepted, the full paper submission deadline was 22 March 2026.
