Cell Signaling and Transcription Research Group

Our lab seeks to understand how cells sense and respond to extracellular changes, which imply a stress that cells must adapt to survive. Proper adaptation to extracellular changes involves the modulation of several fundamental aspect of cell biology, among them gene expression. We focus our studies on dissecting the transcriptional molecular mechanisms underlying cell response to stimuli and characterizing the adaptive capacity of the cells.
