Second edition of the awards for the best TFG and TFM in health promotion (2022-2023 academic year)
The Catalan Network of Healthy Universities will grant a total of six awards to the three best bachelor’s degree final projects (TFG) and the three best master’s degree final projects (TFM) related to the prevention and improvement of health (physical, nutrition and emotional well-being). Projects can be submitted until 27 October 2023. The prizes, consisting of 1,000 euros and a diploma, target students from all Catalan universities (20-10-2023)
Projects must include actions for the prevention and improvement of three areas, fundamentally: physical health, nutritional health and emotional well-being.
Participation is open to students who have defended their TFG or TFM at any of the Catalan universities during the 2022-2023 academic year, provided the project has been graded with a 9 or higher. Projects can be individual or collective, and can be written in Catalan, Spanish or English.
The deadline for submitting applications and the projects to be eligible for the prizes is from 9-27 October 2023.
Each award consists of a diploma issued by the Ministry for Research and Universities and the Ministry for Health of the Government of Catalonia, as well as 1,000 euros, contributed by the aforementioned ministries.
A Selection Committee will decide on and choose the three winners of each category from among the twelve Catalan universities. This committee consists of the secretary general for Public Health of the Government of Catalonia or their representative, the secretary general of the Interuniversity Council of the Government of Catalonia or their representative, and three academic experts in the fields of health promotion and sustainable development (in this edition there is one from the University of Barcelona, one from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and one from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia).
The Selection Committee will take into account that the projects are related to SDG 3. Good health and well-being, specifically in promoting health. The subject matter must be related to the actions on which the Catalan Network of Healthy Universities is working; namely, actions aimed at prevention and improvement in three areas, fundamentally: physical health, nutritional health and emotional well-being.
The awards ceremony will be held on 18 December and will include a brief presentation by the winners of their work.
