We have been recording several sounds from diverse research areas, and with our experience we created some steps to help you to contribute with us.

  1. Listen carefully. In your research environment there are a lot of sounds that scape from you during your day life. How many of them can you recognise?
  2. Recognise the most characteristic sounds in your lab/department. There are lots of sounds like typewriting, computer sounds, etc. that are common for most of the laboratories and do not provide remarkable information about you science works. How many of the sounds that you recognised before are specific from your task?
  3. Record the sounds. High quality record equipment is not required (you can use your smartphone), but try to record them with the best quality that you can.
