CASSANY VILADOMAT, ROGER
Roger Cassany Viladomat has a degree in Journalism from Pompeu Fabra University (2005) and a PhD in Social Communication from the same university (2016).
Since 2008 he has been a professor in the Department of Communication at Pompeu Fabra University and from 2020 to 2024 he was the director of Diari de Barcelona, a journalistic and pedagogical project of the UPF awarded by the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia with the Vicens Vives Award ( 2021) "for its transformative role in education". His teaching work has also been recognized with the Social Council Award for Teaching Quality (2018).
He has focused his research on the analysis of the audiovisual content of the cyber media and on the communication of science and the training of scientific journalists.
As a filmmaker, he has directed several documentaries, television spots and video clips.
