Research Group on Public International Law and International Relations

The Research Group on Public International Law and International Relations studies relevant issues on contemporary international society, both from a legal and a political perspective. The transformations of the international legal system and world politics inform the research interests orienting publications and activities of the Group researchers.

The Research Group on Public International Law and International Relations began its activities by the end of the nineties, under the academic guidance of Professor Oriol Casanovas y la Rosa. The consolidation of teaching and research by the Department of International Law and International Relations at Universitat Pompeu Fabra led to the official acknowledgment of the Group in 2005 by the Catalan Higher Education Agency, which renewed this award in 2014. Throughout the years, the Group has expanded its research fields of interest, has increased its academic activities, and has grown in terms of associated members.
