Alba was born in 2002 in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently studying Biomedical Engineering at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). During her studies, she has developed a keen interest in neuroscience. She also loves medical devices, robotics in medicine, and interacting with patients. She has joined the NTSA group to develop her final thesis in collaboration with the neurology department of Hospital Sant Pau. The purpose of the thesis is to specifically analyze gait freezing in patients with Parkinson's disease and demonstrate the possibility of detecting this condition using a multimodal approach with wearables (acceleration sensors), percepts, and EEG recordings.
