Green Sacrifice in Spain: A European Perspective (GRES)
Postdoctoral Researcher

Fiammetta Brandajs is a Geographer (MSc, PhD) with a strong technical background in quantitative geographical analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Her work focuses on the 'Mobilities' strand of research, aligning with anti-sedentarist thought to understand urban everyday life. She explores the territorial dimensions of mobilities and the transformations they produce in terms of use and configuration of space. Her recent research on 'technology and mobility justice' excavates the role of technological advances (e.g. ICT-enhanced, smart systems) on urban mobility, examining their impact on the equity to access urban capital, resources, and services. Currently, she is actively involved in the GRES project, where she leverages her dedication to addressing social justice concerns and her technical expertise in GIS to map the socio-ecological determinants and territorial patterns that contribute to identifying green sacrifice territories in Spain.
