Successful Thesis Completion of Emily Theophilou and René Lobo

As the project nears its completion, two young members associated to the Courage team have successfully completed their PhD theses. René Lobo and Emily Theophilou projects have examined, among other topics, the effectiveness of Courage Virtual Companions and intrinsic motivation to learn in the virtual learning environment of Courage Instareal. 

The defenses for both thesis projects took place in the past few weeks at the Pompeu Fabra University. Both projects received recognition from the evaluation committee members and friends who joined the celebration afterward.

 

 

Dr. Theophilou's doctoral thesis title is “Computer-Supported Scripting Mechanisms to Support Adolescents’ Development of Social Media Self-Protection Skills"  Her publications are listed here.


Dr. Lobo-Quintero’s doctoral work is entitled “Motivation-driven mechanics in computer-supported collaborative learning scripts” His publciations are listed here.
