As part of an initiative led by the Center of Innovation for Data Tech and Artificial Intelligence (CIDAI) in Catalonia, Spain, an Artificial Intelligence White Paper has been published with the participation of experts aiming to contribute to the adoption of AI in education. Davinia Hernández-Leo, head of TIDE-UPF, participated as an expert in the development and presentation of Instareal and the Courage Virtual Companion.

The event took place on January 30, 2024, and included the participation of Catalan government representatives and experts from the tech sector [See official Press Release here]. The objective of this white paper, as described by CIDAI, is to contribute to the promotion and encouragement of the adoption and incorporation of AI in the education sector, as well as to analyze the importance of its applications in the Catalan language, examining the applicability of AI to address the region's main challenges in the short and medium term.
