I have a deep interest in meditation and consciousness research, particularly from a systems and computational neuroscience and experimental perspective. My work involves designing and conducting experiments focused on Yoga Nidra meditations, lucid experiences in NREM sleep and lucid dreaming, Mismatch Negativity experiments using high-density EEG. I am especially interested in tracking lucidity during nightly sleep, focusing on the sleep onset process and conscious entry into sleep. Additionally, I have developed hypotheses/frameworks on “conscious sleep” or Yogic Sleep and Minimal Phenomenal Experiences (MPEs).
I am also using Active Inference/Free Energy Principle to develop computational frameworks for embodied cognition, and simulations for object permanence, and rs-fMRI. I have been working on developing the 'thoughtseeds framework' using active inference.
Previously, I completed my Master in Brain and Cognition at UPF Barcelona in 2020. I completed my Master in Management at the Asian Institute of Management, the Philippines, in 2011. I completed my Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering from NIST, India, in 2000. Additionally, I have more than 15+ years of experience in the technology sector, where I worked in various MNCs and co-founded a startup. I have worked in multiple countries and like being part of a multicultural environment where new ideas can thrive.
