My main interest is How does the human brain achieve global and sustained behavior, as the consciousness and cognition, as the emergence of a complex system compound by million of small units.  Specifically, my focus is on the dynamical mechanisms that underlie this emergence in terms of information and computation capabilities across different brain states.
My approach integrates different levels of analysis by means of computer simulations, dynamical systems, machine learning techniques and applying concepts and methods from the physics of complex systems.
