On December 5th, we held the first meeting of the Scientific Committee of the project Reprogenomics: expectations and fears, funded by FECYT and led by the CCS-UPF.

During the session, we presented the general framework of the study —which aims to analyze public perception and understanding of genetics and genomics in the field of human reproduction— and shared the methodological proposal for the focus groups that will be conducted in the qualitative phase. We also discussed the main themes to be addressed and gathered key contributions to refine the design of the materials and the participant selection criteria.

The project’s Scientific Committee is composed of Juan José Espinós, Joaquín Llácer, Lidón Gasull, Francesc Calafell, Maica Rodríguez, Rita Vassena and Ángela Bernardo. The CCS-UPF research team includes Gema Revuelta, Carolina Llorente, Paulina Brena, Izen Martínez, Eva Escobar and Mar Oropesa.

This first meeting marks the beginning of a crucial participatory stage to ensure the quality, inclusiveness and social relevance of the study. We continue moving forward.
