Narcís Parés centres his research on Full-body Interaction, a specific type of Human Computer Interaction in which users may use their body movement and gestures, displacement in space, and collaboration with other users while interacting with the computer system. One of his areas of interest is fostering physical activity and compensating for sedentary behaviours, especially in children. His research is part of the international efforts in Exergames and Exertion Interfaces and has been presented at international venues and published in international journals. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the ACM SIGCHI & IFIP International Conference on Interaction Design and Children, and member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Child-Computer Interaction, Elsevier.
